a GAMbling BIT

The trailer for Wolverine: Origins leaked out of Comic-Con today. I watched it, and decided that it would be not only the first time I saw footage of the movie, but the last time I saw footage of the movie before it’s release on May 1st. My theory is that I will enjoy the movie more if I stay trailer free, and so far that theory has worked for Transformers, the newest Hulk movie, and The Dark Knight. I knew I was going to be blown away by what I saw when I read the title of the article that was worded similar to the first sentence of this blog post.
Marvel took a gamble with this one, an entire movie based around a character from another Marvel movie series that was mediocre at best. But, they listened to their fans and hopefully made something great. After all, Wolverine has so much depth as a character to explore, not just background history, but psychological terrain to map as well.
I’m excited because I know who Wolverine is, but for the first time I’ll see a Marvel movie not knowing the origin story. Plus I spied Gambit in the trailer, and you can never go wrong with him.
