So, about a year ago I wrote a blog entry entitled “5 days of Freedom” in which I discussed the events that were going on at the time. If you have not read it, click the link in the previous sentence and read it so you get a basic idea of how this blog entry is going to work.
I turn 19 in 16 days. This is my second of hopefully a very long list of posts I’ll be putting up as I grow old and my batteries slowly run out of juice. So to keep things rolling Ill just list a bunch of current events to set the timeframe so when I reread this in twenty-two years at my dead-end job I’ll have something to laugh at.
Economic/Political: The war in Iraq is still going on, the Gaza strip is getting butchered; Talk of invading another country, doubt Obama will act upon it though; Bush just got the boot today, Obama is president; it takes about 45 bucks to fill up my truck now, climate change is still worried about but not to the extremes as it was a year ago since the noticeable economic downturn has people worried more about the now than the future.
Entertainment: The Steelers and the Cardinals will play in the Super Bowl this year; the Superbowl is in Tampa again. Heath Ledger is set to win some nice awards for his performance as The Joker in The Dark Knight; Grand Torino, Mall Cop, Marley and Me, and My Bloody Valentine are all playing in my movie theater. August Burns Red tickets: $12, Jonas Brothers tickets: $65. My Xbox caught the“Red-Ring of Death” finally, and George Lucas’ Star Wars series is showing on Cartoon Network weekly, with talks of re-doing the original trilogy in HD 3-D.
All right, that about sums things up. As for me I am sitting here typing this in my room on my Dell computer, AIM is running and I’m not talking to anyone at the moment. I’ve got the calculator up because I was using it for Algebra homework. Twitteroo just updated itself with tweets from Alex Albrecht and Jeff Flanagan. I just took a nice gulp of water, scientists are suing Coke-a-Cola saying its false advertising to label Vitamin Water as “healthy”…great, and to think that was my substitute for soda for the past year. But my new years resolution has been to give up soda and fast food, and I’ve not caved in yet, wonder if I’ll be able to say I’ve not had either in the next one of these. I’m reading a book called “America: The Last Best Hope” about U.S. History, its long.
I think I’m going to watch Lost.

Congrats in turning 19! Seize the day! Enjoy everything and inspire other people. Play safe dude!
